My Story
I am Libby, the fourth generation to grow up on our beautiful family farm in North Louisiana. From a young age, I was immersed in the aromas and flavors of southern cooking, watching my mom and grandmother in the kitchen. But it was my Granny, a true Southern peach, who truly ignited my passion for baking. With her, I learned the art of making biscuits from scratch, turning kitchen time into fun, learning adventures.

My love for baking grew stronger when I decorated my first cake as a teenager. Inspired, I took a Wilton cake decorating class at Bossier Parish Community College at 16, where I not only honed my skills but also earned my certificate. For years, I baked and decorated for friends, family, and in various establishments, always driven by the rich, traditional flavors of the South.

After a successful stint with my home bakery, Dino-mite Desserts, life took a turn with the arrival of COVID-19, forcing me to close shop. But the passion for baking never left me. In February 2024, after a disappointing store-bought king cake, I decided to create my own recipe. The result was spectacular, leading to sold-out batches and a renewed business venture.

Now, after being encouraged by friends and community alike, I'm thrilled to share my love for baked goods with you. From those king cakes that started it all, to the dream of opening a farm-to-table bakery on the Eastern Shore in South Alabama, Louisiana Libby is about bringing authentic Southern flavors to your table.

I’m excited to be entering my first baking/King Cake competition, aiming to spread joy, one delicious bite at a time. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let's celebrate the sweetness of life together!
